5th Adriatic Investment Forum

Miljenko Bura

"Without the quality and outspread healthcare infrastructure we cannot build the full-time tourism, so we gathered all interesed entities, presented real projects and possibillities, went through the existing challenges and linked investors and partners who can make Croatia the full-time desirable destination.“

Dear associates, colleagues, and friends,

it is my great honor and pleasure to invite you to the 5th Adriatic Investment Forum which will be held on May 18th and 19th 2022 in Zagreb, Croatia, at the Westin Hotel.

The past four Forums touched upon important topics of investment and development in the sectors of health, tourism, and sports. The Forums gathered many international experts who saw great benefit in such specialized investment events.

In the past, more than thirty investment projects have been presented some of which soon seized various investment opportunities or found partners interested in further developments. In addition, with an annual average of 220-250 participants, the Forums attracted more than 20% of international audience.

The main topic of this year's Forum is "My Croatia 2030"

The discussion about Croatia's overall development presents itself as a necessity considering Croatia’s current position with approximately 27 billion euros of non-refundable funds from EU at its disposal. On the other hand, there is a constant obligation to provide better living and working standards in Croatia, especially considering recent population emigration trends.

All of this emphasizes a need for a joint discussion on how to increase Croatia’s short-term development. Thus, a year 2030 is put forth as a foreseeable and reachable period for the goals we plan to lay ahead.

COOPERATION HAS BECOME A NECESSITY!

This topic will be independently covered by five groups of experts with a special emphasis on Croatia’s interests.

Together with representatives of the Croatian Government and the President’s Office, the leaders of expert groups are selected by the organizers. The role of leader is to form an independent working group whose goal will be to envision Croatia's development due 2030.
The main goal of each working group is to complement the underlying theme of cooperation primarily driven by the experts in their respective fields.

Further incentives will be organized to continue, but also to track the progress of the dialogue and ideas initiated at the Forum. These include public and regular round table discussions throught various associations, clubs, clusters, or think-thank as well as progress reports to be presented annually on Investment Forums until 2030.

The 5th Adriatic Investment Forum will be available to attend online, and simultaneously translated into English which opens the prospect to share conceived ideas and projects globally. We further extend our global outreach through our continuous cooperation with foreign economic representatives in our country as well as our largest and most important diaspora associations some of whom actively participated in previous events.

We invite you to join us as active participants or sponsors of this important event. We offer numerous opportunities for you to present yourself, your ideas, and your work, to participate in discussions, and, after all, to help us realize undervalued potentials of this beautiful and hospitable country!

Thanks in advance and I sincerely look forward to meeting you all in May,
Sincerly,

dr. Miljenko Bura,
President of the organizing committee
